This ancient Villa with its radiant charm is located in the rolling hills of southern Umbria. World-renowned Italian architects Struzzi and Leonelli worked collectively to restore the house, adding modern amenities while maintaining its rich history.

When the architects began the renovation, they were pleasantly surprised to discover that the foundation of the house showed clear signs of an ancient Roman wall, most likely part of a villa or perhaps a religious place. The oldest part of this foundation dates back to the fifteenth century, with some additional work performed in more recent years. An addition was added to the original house in 1818, but the major renovation began in 1998. When they finally finished in 2000, the Villa began functioning as an Agriturismo open to the public.

The Villa sits in the center of a vast agricultural enterprise, which is alive with activity, and has a commanding view of both the estate and the surrounding countryside. Whether they are gazing out of their bedroom window over rolling Umbrian fields, sitting on the sunlit patio, or lounging by the blue-tiled pool, Villa guests always feel a part of this world - the world of vineyards, sunflower fields, and vegetable harvests.

The house is also centrally located in the province of Umbria, a region that has a remarkable undiscovered charm and is full of pleasant surprises. For instance, the world-renowned Fossil Forest, located in the nearby town of Dunarobba, houses the only fossilized (not petrified) wood that is still in its vertical position. Down the road, Carsulae has perhaps the most beautiful ancient ruins of any Umbrian-Roman city in central Italy. Also close by are; Amelia with its gigantic city walls and intriguing museum, Narni with its perfectly preserved Medieval urban city plan, and Lugnanoin Teverina with the one of the most beautiful Umbrian-Roman churches still standing today. In addition, the nearby Marmore Waterfalls ("la Cascata delle Marmore") are considered some of the most spectacular in the world. All of these amazing sites and many more are only minutes away by car from the Villa.
